Interview with Milles
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Milles: at first i was apprehensive about interacting with
the other inmates. you just don't know why someone
else is behind bars weather they are violent, on
drugs or whatever. after a day or two you begin to
forget about those things and necessity takes over
you just have to talk to someone. so you start
telling stories about how you got there and from
that point people just chime in. it gets easier
and easier the longer you are there.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Milles: i just stayed away from people if they were
irritated or seemed like trouble. let people talk
to me instead of approaching them. its sometimes
easier to just stay in your bunk and read a book.
i try to be neutral in things it seemed to keep me
safe
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Milles: no i was assigned a bunk and that was it. they
don't give you a lot of choice in anything while in
jail. you just go with the program and try to stay
away from trouble. besides i didn't know anyone
while i was there. if i had i don't think that it
would have mattered.

How is it a 53year old man Micheal mccann who has raped druged video taped his own grandchildren and is only looking at 20 years/ and his monster wife vickey mccann lived in the home and let it go on for 5 years and did nothing said nothin is still out free.. she put money on his books sold all the kids bikes belongins they have lost EVERYTHING!!! Including thier innocents and now will never know what it means to have a grandfather... oh by the way... mrs mccann works at safeway in st helens oregon in the deli...stop by and have a piece of chicken....

sentencing needs to be so much longer for ANY child abuse, rape, animal abuse and abusing the elderly any way. there is no punisment hard enough or scary enough to stop these kind of charges. you can murder some one and get out in 5 yrs! what's that all about?

REMEMBER GOD LOVES YOU none of us deserve his love tho, there are a few good people in the world but so few. do something nice today, help the elderly, volinteer at the humane society, remember to recycle aturn the water off while brushing your teeth, ride a bike. |

I have been in the system for over 10 years. Been in MCDC, MCCF (The Farm, now closed), and MCIJ (Inverness, at least 20 times. My stays varied from hours to 6 months. There is a County Jail,(wapato), That has been finished since 2004 at a cost of $10 million dollars. It has never housed a single inmate. When the bond was passed for it, they forgot to include money for start up operations, including testing. They could have taken the employees of MCCF, when it closed, and slowly funneled inmates to that jail while testing in one fail swoop. I know I have made some very stupid choices that got me locked up. I think the county made me look like a genius though. When will the county use this facility? Sure makes Multnomah County Corrections, especially those in charge, look stupid. RIGHT ON MCSO AND ALL THE REST OF YOU CORRECTIONS EMPLOYEES! CAN YOU SAY "$10 MILLION DOLLARS WELL SPENT"? i thought you could... ya big dummies.

jail is a blessing and a torture mind game all in one , the fist time or four you do a day or 3 downtown but whn u get to IJ just figure u r gonna b there for a min. and that u are what society considers normal,gen. pop. if you have a brain it took you a min to get to ij and if you did more than a month than i hope you got back to the most high ,cuz i spent every holiday including my 30 bday in there and i take it as the best gift. one time ,they finally got me and ive done more than my share of dirt but the toothless bitches in there that have been in the revolving door system of mcso ,10%r the downest friends u will eva meet.
